improving access for all
It is now possible to access PrEP fully online in New Zealand, through a virtual doctor consultation via your mobile or computer.
The preferred route to access PrEP is to have a discussion with your family doctor. If you don’t feel comfortable discussing your sex life or meth use with your GP or simply cant find the time for an in person appointment you can now access PrEP online through a telehealth consultation.

How does this work?
Book a virtual appointment at a time that suits you. They’ll chat with you through a video call to discuss PrEP for minimising HIV risk and order lab work if you wish to proceed.
Just before it is time to refill you will get a reminder to book another appointment and order lab work again before providing the prescription.
